Feb 21 TRUCK
The off road trail will start from Ghadames it will cross the Hamada el Hamra (red Plateau) dropping off to the Ubari at Umweinat Whin and camping in the dunes in the truck (582Km)
Feb 22 TRUCK
We will continue off road on the Eastern edges of the Ubari Sand Sea over the dunes to Idri and will continue to Sebah by driving on the paved road. Night at camp ground dinner at Mat’am an Nasser for a chicken shwarma
Feb 23 TRUCK
Morning in Sebah getting supplies and making contact with the world will leave for Germa at noon on the paved road.
Feb 24 TENT
Will leave truck and trailer at Fezzan Tours Camp site in Terkiba and will proceed to Ghat on the paved road in Zeus 4x4, bikes will go off road along the highway for 370km. If conditions are better than expected we may proceed with the truck into the Akakus. Lunch at Aflaw Camp for a good chicken couscous.
In Ghat we will stay at Anay Camping (1Km south of town) and it will be our last chance to have a shower before going into the Akakus. Must visit the Medina and souq to buy ashaersh (3mts) and akerbai (Touareg dress). Last chance to get supplies.
Feb 25 TENT
Leave Ghat with bikes and 4x4 for the Akakus to be at natural arch for the sunset and sleep under the starts. Large amount of tourists expected at this time of the year.

Proceed north on Wadi Anshal and visit rock paintings, go to Wadi Wan Millal, there is a well at Imenineh

Proceed to the east to the Murzuk plateau through the Wan Caza pass if possible otherwise we will head north to Awiss and Al Aweinat. In the Murzuk plateau there are two road alternatives: one goes along the northern rim of the Idehan Murzuk which is more picturesque but it is soft sand. The alternative road is farther north through a plain with no vegetation or landmarks. Black sharp rocks will slow you down and will hard on the tires but you will not get stuck. Camp at Ideham Murzuk before Wadi Methkandoush (be careful with the snakes)
March 1 TRUCK
Visit rock carvings at W. Methkandoush and proceed for Germa
We can wash off the desert before going to the lakes and we may get a warm meal.
March 2 TENT
Visit ancient Garama the capital of the Garamantes and proceed to the lakes o/n at Um Alma lake
March 3 TRUCK
Complete visit to the lake and o/n at Sebah

Morning depart for Tripoli. o/n at Tripoli

Depart for Ras Ajdir cross into Tunisia
